The region’s top diagnostic imaging technology is right here in Cambridge

Compared to older imaging technology, computerized tomography such as that performed by Tri Valley Health System’s Toshiba Aquilion 16-slice CT Scanner is brilliantly detailed, allowing doctors to see tissue as well as bone in ways that were never before possible. Tri Valley clinicians can use the CT scanner to help diagnose kidney, lung, spine, and blood diseases, and locate cancers, tumors and cysts as well as blood clots, hemorrhages and infections.

ImagingThe 16-slice scanner arrived at Tri Valley Health System in October 2007. Since then it has been used 100 times per month, says Tri Valley's Director of Radiology, Ross Ebbers. It is preferred for examinations because of the thin slices and quickness of the rotation. The three-dimensional images are excellent for orthopedic and vascular studies.  And, not to brag, but neither McCook nor Holdrege have technology this advanced.
